ha! you thought i was done talking about my birthday. no such luck charlie! i had to post this picture of david and i with our cakes. both our spouses baked a cake (well, vanessa baked 2) so we each had our own cake for our family party.
anyone who knows me or knows my little brother knows that the shared birthday has always been an issue for us. but 2 cakes seems to resolves this. we've done it every year with the exception of my 7th or 8th birthday. that year my mother ordered a large sheet cake and had one side decorated blue and other side decorated pink. its not the same. two cakes are required.
my story goes like this*: my family and i were celebrating my 5th birthday at showtime pizza, now known as chuck e. cheese. we were having a great time and then. . . all of a sudden. . . my mother goes into labor and decides that it cannot wait until i'm done playing ski ball. so after a lengthy tantrum my father stayed with us kids at showtime pizza while my mom headed off to the hospital alone. we were to follow shortly, but by the time we got there david had already been born. and so david is forced to share a birthday with me for all time.
