birthday part 3 of 3

and finally. . . .the haircut. as promised once tobias turned one we would cut his hair. it had to be done. we loved the attention the hair brought us. but it was getting in his eyes more frequently and become a food, sand, sweat, and one-day-soon-gum magnet. so we headed out sunday morning to cool cuts for kids down on the snazzy side of the tollway for tobias' very first hair cut. we did the same ritual hair cut when thomas turned one at the very same place so this was a tradition now that it's been down will all our kids. thomas sat in the car-shaped chair and screamed his head off for the occasion back in his day. tobias wouldn't even consider getting in the car-shaped chair. rodney had to hold him in some strange looking smock that make rodney look like he had a baby head growing out of his stomach. tobias held up well. . . right up until the end. there were some big tears but nothing we couldn't handle.

over all, tobias' turning one was great!! he would have turned one no matter what we had done for the occassion, but this way was sooooo much more fun. i hope my boys know how much they mean to me.
